True Life in God (TLiG) Prayer Group
Gold Coast, Australia

The True Life in God prayer group on the Gold Coast, Australia, comes to
gether 3 times every month at the home of Avo & Suzy. One of the meetings is specially for young adults. The prayer meetings follow the guidelines as set forth in a special booklet that contains many prayers. The main prayer is the Holy Rosary, that is preceded and followed by prayers from the True Life in God messages and other well known prayers.

True Life in God is the title given by our Lord Himself to the messages He has been dictating to a Greek Orthodox mystic by the name of Vassula Rydén since 1985. The messages are a wealth of spirituality, that when read with an open heart and mind, will bring the reader closer to God. The messages make the reader grow in intimacy with God over the years and a gradual thirst and longing for God develops within the person's heart and mind. The reader starts to love God more and more each day. However, loving God also means to love our neighbour in the manner God loves us, and as we love God and ourselves. The love of God and of neighbour therefore go hand in hand.
On the table of our altar there are 2 statues: the statue of our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Both statues have glitter and oil on them. There is also glitter on the table of the altar itself, and on all the objects that are on the table. The colour of the glitter on the statue of our Lady is predominantly BLUE, and that on the statue of our Lord RED and GOLDEN.
The large picture of the Face of Jesus on the wall has oil and gold glitter coming out of the Mouth. The small statue of the Child Jesus also has glitter, mostly BLUE.

Yes, the True Life in God messages are about love, peace, repentance, reconciliation, mercy, forgiveness... but there is one more issue that our Lord Jesus Christ has come to remind us of... and that is the Unity of the Church, His Church, the Unity between the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Churches, and the so many Protestant Churches. Jesus wants His Church united, and united in such a way, that His Whole Church comes to celebrate the Eucharist together. He does not want the Churches to differentiate themselves under His Holy Name. He wants everyone to believe in His True Presence in the Bread and the Wine, His Body and His Blood. He wants One Church, and in order to achieve this, our Lord does not give us any magic formulas, just two simple attributes or virtues if you like: LOVE and HUMILITY.

About Me

My photo
Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
My wife and I are readers of the True Life in God messages since end 1992, which have brought us back to the Church, the Sacraments of the Church, and everything what the Church is all about. Both of us have been baptised in the Armenian Orthodox Apostolic Church, to "which" we remain committed. In addition to many things that our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us through the Scriptures and the True Life in God messages, one other thing I would mention is His Gift to us of allowing us to approach Him intimately. It is this INTIMACY which we see as the greatest gift we have received from God, which has led us to love Him more each day, and hand-in-hand with that, to try to love our neighbour as God loves us and we love ourselves. Another great gift, we feel, we have received from Christ, is the gift to be "one" with our Christian brothers and sisters from the other Churches: not to differentiate ourselves under the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, to feel "one in heart" with them, because after all, we do worship the same Christ +++
